Chickering 121 5’6” Grand Mahogany cabinet refinished, new strings, original ivory keys. This piano came to us in original condition and we carefully preserved its original soundboard, ivory keys and action parts, while installing new strings, hammers and refinishing with nitrocellulose lacquer. Chickering became famous for its small grand from ca. 1900, often called the “Quartergrand.” Most had the “Anderson” plate with the large sweep and open soundboard area. This 100 year old piano is carefully restored for another century of creating music and visual beauty. |
