1395 and 1396 were among the first production fancy grand cabinets  built by Steinway and Sons

 Flatstrung, like nearly all of the first three years of Steinway grand pianos (1856 to 1858).  Production pair #1395 and #1396 were  begun in the factory September 26, 1857.  Period Piano Center’s #1396 was sold in March 1858.
