SUGGESTED FEES AND ARRANGEMENTS The standard fees are suggested for presentations below. Costs for out-of-area travel, lodging, and handout expenses are separate expenses. The Early Steinway Piano standard 9-page handout has 5 color pages, and is much better in color, but can be printed in black and white. The presentations are Powerpoint-based. An LCD projector is required. Suggested fees for presentations: 1 to 1.5 hour presentation: $200 3 hour presentation (two consecutive sessions with a break) $300 All-day seminar (usually 5-6 hour presentation): $500 Two-day seminar (10-12 hour presentation): $1,000 Often arrangements can be made for one travel trip to include more than one presentation at different locations, which can result in shared expense (travel, lodging). I also encourage chapters to schedule the all-day seminar with the Piano Technicians Guild. Advantages include posting on the PTG Page and logistical support when needed (such as the use of the PTG’s LCD projector). In addition, the Regional Vice-President for the region may be able to attend. This is a great opportunity for the chapter to promote PTG membership and product to members and non-members alike, and to increase community awareness of, and goodwill towards the Piano Technicians Guild.
