	Broadwood 1811 Grand 8’ #5170

The 1811 6 octave Broadwood grand of Stanford University has now joined our permanent collection. Featured in Edwin Good’s “Giraffes, Black Dragons and Other Pianos” and restored by Bjarne Dahl, this severely cheeked instrument remains functional.

The Beethoven Broadwood: Beethoven’s 1817 Broadwood is essentially identical to this Period Piano Collection Broadwood. Beethoven’s piano, an ordinary piano from this same design, became very important to his art and composition in his later period.
